Homeowners HATE Agents and LOVE Banks

I know that people want some kind of categorical conclusion that there is a conspiracy brewing that is magically keeping them out of the hearts and minds of homeowners. I will concede that banks hold back a great deal of credit data so that they have the “first right of refusal” option to try and get a loan modification implanted into their minds. However there is NO SUCH THING as true bank conspiracy. There is true collection strategy and tactics being employed by all of the banking establishments.

In fact there is no need for any ‘special’ mind control to be employed by the banks, that’s because homeowners LOVE bank people more than they trust Realtors® or Real Estate People!

Want proof?

Any agent who has done a short sale, conversion, consultation, reo, etc has encountered a homeowner who is ‘working with the bank on a loan modification’ and they do not require the assistance of a realtor® or real estate professional.

That’s warped!

Homeowners in a survey have said that they HATE the bank, HATE the bailouts, HATE the corporations and greed!

Yet they would trust and believe a $8.00 per hour bank servicing counselor to assist them with a loan modification AND fully document a file that was once a NO-DOC-ALT-A-SUB PRIME loan.

A homeowner would rather seek advice from a bank about their options instead of a realtor® or real estate professional?

For those unfamiliar with Bizzaro world where there is no yellow sun and superman lacks his Kryptonian powers, LET ME REPEAT THE OBVIOUS INSANITY!

A homeowner who has all of the characteristics of a methamphetamine addict will seek advice from the ‘pusher’ to get more product from the same establishment and people they once cursed and spat upon. Additionally the opinion of a skilled advocate of the truth who makes NO money from the homeowner/junkie is looked upon as ‘less honorable’ than the pusher and his ‘products’.

I guess this is all just food for thought or the truth of the default property market. I cannot believe the number of real estate trainers NOW jumping on board to train short sales and/or REO’s for the coming year (NAR® has released a statement that the yeti known as short sales exists and it’s the money maker).
